Duties

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring oversight for providing high quality care in compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements in a facility with acute, residential, and community living beds on a medical center campus and across four community based outpatient clinics across the Gulf Coast.
The Chief of Staff position serves as a full Executive Leadership Team member for the GCVHCS
Major duties include, but are not limited to: Prior managerial or leadership experience in a medical facility setting. Provides leadership for multiple clinical services. Complies with applicable Joint Commission, CARF, and other accreditation standards. Collaborates with the leadership team, the Chief of Quality Management, all service chiefs, and engages with employees at all levels of the organization to manage quality assurance and performance improvement activities for all care line programs. Provide leadership and accountability for all aspects of the COS operations, assuring support of the mission and values of this health care system and VISN 16. Ensure the COS Office and clinical services function as an integrated care delivery system, providing a full continuum of patient-focused care for veterans with a focus on quality and access.
Work Schedule: 8:00 . - 4:30 ., Monday - Friday.
