Duties

The OCC administers the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF), which is a multi-billion dollar program that provides child care assistance to low-income families and increases the availability of child care and development services. The incumbent in this position is assigned responsibilities related to implementation and oversight of administration of the CCDF program that includes providing guidance and designing technical assistance to support States, Territories, and Tribes. Duties Include: Work Independently to track and analyze information from a wide range of sources. Provide oversight to grantees to assure compliance with statue and rules and works to identify, research, and analyze statutory and regulatory issues related to grantee child care programs. Assesses and analyzes the needs of the States, Territories and Tribes, include needs for technical assistance or policy clarification. Prepares a variety of position papers, briefing documents, data fact sheets, and other materials concerning grantee child care programs. Identifies and explores alternatives, outlines options and prepares comprehensive recommendations. Develop program guidance, special repots related to oversight and accountability. Lead project teams to plan meetings and events. Prepares and delivers oral briefings and presentations on child care issues and concerns. Plans and/or accomplishes assignments in support of Agency initiatives and projects.
