Role Overview:We are seeking a seasoned analytical leader to join our Enterprise Data Platform team as the Capability Lead, Data Architecture, reporting to the Enterprise Data Platform Lead. As a key leader of McAfee's enterprise data architecture strategy, you will be responsible for leading a team that manages platform architecture on the Databricks platform.

This role requires a deep understanding of:

• Data Lake modeling and design

• ETL/ELT design

• CI/CD

• Databricks platform management

Job Description:

About the role:

  • Lead the Enterprise Data Platform Architecture team, providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and leadership
  • Oversee a team of Data Architects and Engineers, providing code review, best practices, and adherence to platform standards
  • Provide guidance for database tuning and performance management
  • Manage, maintain, and oversee the physical data model on the Databricks platform
  • Ensure the platform and platform design meets required security and compliance guidelines including PII management
  • Maintain infrastructure relating to data catalogs, including automation
  • Manage Agile sprint development cycles for the Architecture team
  • Act as key point of escalation for platform-related issues

About you:

  • Bring 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, and ETL/ELT
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field preferred
  • Experience leading small, high-performing teams of Data Engineers or Data Architects
  • Work very well in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Use excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments
  • Able to clearly communicate across all levels, from individual contributor to executive
  • Significant team leadership experience

Hands-on experience with and understanding of:

  • Spark/Scala
  • SQL
  • Python/PySpark or similar programming language
  • Databricks
  • Design and implementation of logical and physical data modeling
  • ETL/ELT development, monitoring and pipelining using tools such as Apache Airflow
  • Ingestion tools such as Dell Boomi
  • Data quality guidelines
  • Lakehouse architecutre
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Agile sprint management
  • Git and version control
