Day - 12 Hour (United States of America)Supports the Perioperative and Interventional region by coordinating and scheduling of surgical and procedural cases for one of the following locations: Byers, Emeryville, OSC, South Bay Operating Room, main campus Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, Lane Surgery Center, 300P and 500P grids through interfacing with clinic surgery schedulers and physicians

Duties can include:

  • Support Surgery Schedulers in assisting with placement of cases in grids across all services within their site.
  • Perform inspection of cases built by Surgery Schedulers across all services within their site.
  • Provide support for Interventional Platform and scheduling processes to Surgery Schedulers across all services within their site.
  • Onboarding of new physicians by checking MSOW for credentialing, then send to EPIC Opt-time to activate surgeons
  • Confirm credentialing of physicians scheduling cases as well as specialty licensing such as fluoroscopy.
  • Review and monitor Suspension List
  • Coordinate equipment needs with Surgery Scheduling and Interventional Platform across all services within their site.
  • Review and update, as appropriate, cases with corrections identified by Preference Card Coordinator's and provide feedback to Surgery Schedulers across all services within their site.
  • Facilitate communication between Clinic Surgery Schedulers and Operations regarding case status.
  • Vendor management as appropriate to role.
  • Direct surgeon communication regarding clarification of case details.
  • Centralized Scheduling
  • Coordinate with Interventional Platform. Nursing and Anesthesia
  • Room management, closing rooms down, combining rooms
  • Review BMI and other medical necessities
  • Monitor equipment down for repair
  • Rearrangement, cancel and edit surgical cases
  • Work with preference cards regarding changes to cases
  • Communication with Biomed regarding equipment status.
  • Communicate with management throughout the day for changes and approval of cases
  • Assist anesthesia by entering missing assignments
  • Call anesthesia office to request extra staffing for out-pt. facilities
  • Maintain blocks (i.e., release rooms, releasing rooms to other surgeons)
  • Maintain calendar for 23 hour stays
  • Run telephone report for pre-op
  • Multi-tasking throughout the day
  • Follows policies and procedures of the Interventional Platform
  • Reviews surgeon's duration requests with Interventional Platform nursing and anesthesia
  • Review future cases daily for missing information

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $ $39.20 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
