We are searching for design leaders with eagerness to deeply understand customers and the value the product brings to them. STR is seeking candidates ranging from senior UX designers to technical leads; entry-level designers will not be considered for this role. This role will be remote, within the US, with up to 25% of travel time required.
The Role:
This role involves working with multiple teams across the project in an agile environment. You will brainstorm, and design live with the product manager to create initial wireframes and mid-fidelity designs. You will break down the initial designs into short- and long-term steps and create interactive prototypes, iterating with product owners, software engineers to improve the workflow and generate high-fidelity designs. At the end of the two-week sprint, you will pass your designs to the UI development team and work with them to ensure the best implementation in the time available, proactively monitoring its progress and adherence to our UX design standards.
This role requires strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as an interest in understanding how things work and a commitment to continuous learning. Specific responsibilities include:
Create intuitive user-centric and data-driven designs that are intuitive during agile sprintsCollaborate with the product manager and engineers from discovery to delivery, incorporating program and business constraints into the design of the productUse systems-level design thinking to drive design solutions that scalePresent design work to project leadership and external stakeholdersUse prototypes as the primary canvas for communicating ideas, both internally and externallyIterate with the UI development team to provide feedback on implementationWho You Are:
Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design related field or equivalent experience6+ years of UI/UX design experienceProficient in design tools, such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, or equivalent toolsHave an existing design portfolioStrong experience designing for complex desktop web applicationsExceptional in prototyping and design systemsDemonstrated understanding of user-centered and data-centric design principlesProactive in keeping up with UX trends and influencing UI/UX strategyKeen attention to detail, considering comprehensive user flows and their impactsAbility to clearly communicate ideas and solutions to teams and partnersAble to work independently and as part of a teamThis position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, for which US citizenship is needed by the US governmentEven Better:
