Job Summary and Qualifications

The Occupational Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Occupational Therapist completes patient assessments, and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Occupational Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patient's physical therapy to support patients throughout home health and the continuum of care.

What you will do in this role:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will focus on the patient's overall well-being by improving their ability to perform activities of daily living. You will assist individuals in regaining their skills and abilities and decreasing their limitations or disabilities. You will plan therapeutic care based on clinical assessment.

  • Provide customized treatment plans to improve patients ability to perform daily life activities and reach their goals.
  • You will record and report on patient's response to treatment, as well as tracking progress toward identified goals.
  • Integrate occupational therapy treatments with other aspects of patient care.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy.
  • Licensed or license eligible as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Experience as an Occupational Therapist in an inpatient setting preferred.
