  • Providing technical and regulatory expertise to ensure occupational safety compliance at the site as part of a zero-incident mindset and be responsible for comprehensive occupational health and Industrial Hygiene (IH) support and oversight for the site.
  • Working with management on identified safety issues / recommendations / opportunities to foster continuous improvement of safety programs and culture.
  • Assisting units with the implementation of BASF's Responsible Care Management Systems (RCMS) including, but not limited to, Control of Hazardous Energy – Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Hot Work, Fall Protection, Powered Industrial Trucks, Hazard Communication, and Emergency Planning and Response.
  • Reinforcing a culture of behavior-based safety and support emergency response activities through the development of required drills and coordination of annual training.
  • Helping to develop exposure assessments, including exposure and hazard evaluation, as well as control solutions for chemical agents, biological agents and physical stress agents (e.g., occupational noise). Being responsible for data interpretation, data communication (monitoring reports and control Internalrecommendation), and regulatory compliance relating to occupational health and safety.
