Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director

The Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH) seeks a collaborative and service-oriented individual to join its Admissions team.

MPH is a non-sectarian, coeducational, independent, pre-K through 12 school in DeWitt, New York. The school is the result of a merger in 1970 between The Manlius School, founded in 1869; and the Pebble Hill School, established in 1926. MPH marked its 150th anniversary in 2019.

The School is dedicated to its core values of authenticity, respect, curiosity, kindness, and agency; the admissions process embodies and honors these values, and serves to enhance and build on the diversity of its inclusive student body.

This full-time, exempt position will report to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management and will support both a high-touch admissions process and retention of current students.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary initial point of contact for prospective families via email, phone, online inquiries, and personal referrals. Provide preliminary responses and engage other team members as needed
  • Develop and convey a broad knowledge of MPH's academic and extracurricular programs and school culture with prospective families
  • Coordinate and conduct campus visits and tours
  • Participate in recruitment and other events as needed, both on and off campus (occasional evening and weekend work)
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives over the course of the admissions cycle
  • Take the lead on planning creative admissions and recruitment events on and off-campus
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of student admissions ambassadors
  • Collaborate with the Advancement Team and Parents Association (PA) to coordinate admissions volunteer activities
  • Work collaboratively with internal school community members, the Board of Trustees, alumni, and other stakeholders to promote enrollment growth This full-time position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Expected salary range will be $60,000 to $70,000 per year. Position level and salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
