Job Summary and Qualifications

Under limited supervision but the direction of the radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist completes sonography procedures including routine sonograms as well as interventional sonograms including biopsies.

What you will do in this role:

  • Sonographers participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities.
  • Sonographers work within the guidelines established in the policies and procedure manual and complies with all safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Sonographers work in accordance with JCAHO, State or other regulatory or accreditation agencies in the performance of their duties.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program with a degree or certificate in Radiologic Sciences or Ultrasound Technology.
  • Certification with ARRT (S- Sonography) or ARDMS required within 6 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required
  • Two years experience required.
