Position Overview

Job Responsibilities

EH&S

  • Proactively seek to identify and eliminate hazards in the workplace.
  • Understand and ensure safety standards are met.

  • Participate in safety training and audits.
  • Always maintain working area in clean and safe conditions.
  • Issue and monitor Safe Work, Hot Work, and Confined Space Permits for maintenance and contractors.
Quality

  • Ensure lab safety practices adhered to.
  • Perform analytical testing of in process samples and finished products.
  • Support troubleshooting of lab equipment, as needed.
Production

  • Responsible for the safe, efficient, & reliable operation of the process to produce solutions in specification.
  • Report deviations from the production schedule and help perform root cause analyses to minimize future lost time.
  • Blend tanks.
  • Transfer product via pipeline.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished product.
  • Perform SAP transactions for the following including, but not limited to: materials moved from the warehouse; maintenance work notifications; storeroom requisitions, PI sheet corrections, inventory reconciliations, and others, as applicable.
  • Follow instructions, coordinate efforts, and contribute to teamwork by constructive interaction and professionalism to ensure safe, environmentally compliant, reliable, efficient, economical, and profitable plant operations.
  • Understand, support, enforce and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot issues with equipment to assist with maintenance operations and write work orders, as required, to address issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

-2 years' experience in an industrial environment

  • Strong communication skills and ability to perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately.
  • Troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to use a computer effectively with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer's literature, diagrams, or schematics.
  • Safety focus in prior jobs

Aptitudes:

Must possess the ability to understand the meaning of words and their ideas, as well as instructions and their underlying principles.

Perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately and possess hand-eye motor coordination. Mechanical and electrical aptitude. Perform basic computer functions.

Temperaments:

Must have the ability to accept responsibility, perform duties under stress, adapt to situations requiring preciseness, and adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
