Perform a variety of duties involved in the administration, evaluation, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of student-athletes within the University of Nebraska Athletic Department.
The focus of responsibilities will be with the sports of Men's and Women's Golf teams, assist with Baseball and help with other teams as needed.
Responsible for meet coverage, potential NCAA Championship(s) travel, and additional administrative duties as assigned by the Associate AD of Athletic Medicine.
Adherence to all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations will be required. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Required travel with the team could involve working long hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays.Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program and 1 year of experience in diverse, athletic training environments.
Effective communication skills. Strong desire for individual and collaborative growth. BOC/NATA certification and ability to obtain Nebraska State licensure required. Emergency response certification (CPR, basic life support) required. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.Preferred Qualifications:
2 year or more experience as full-time, certified athletic trainer within NCAA. Previous experience providing treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to student athletes in an NCAA D-1 program.
