About The Role

As our Payroll Administrator, you will be at the forefront of managing payroll processes and delivering outstanding service to our valued clients. You will serve as their main point of contact for all payroll inquiries, ensuring that payroll processing is accurate and punctual, while also addressing any concerns or issues they may have. Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients will be a key aspect of your role.
Responsibilities

Payroll Processing, Auditing, & Reporting

  • Compile and review client payroll data, encompassing tax updates, deductions, retroactive adjustments, and time entry modifications.
  • Maintain and scrutinize employee-level information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Uphold adherence to garnishment and support orders, encompassing federal, state, and local tax withholding regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with established payroll policies and procedures.
  • Generate and distribute invoices, GL reports, and regulatory and client-specific documentation.
  • Ensure alignment with benefits plans, labor laws, and payroll tax regulations.
  • Support year-end payroll activities and participate in additional projects as required.
  • Collaborate with Finance and other departments and locations to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Continuously assess and propose enhancements to payroll processes.
  • Contribute to the documentation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of new tools and resources for payroll administration.
  • Provide training to team members on payroll policies, processes, and procedures as needed.

Payroll Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the key contact for client payroll managers and supervisors.
  • Commit to excellent customer experience and achieve client experience targets.
  • Address payroll complaints, resolve problems and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrate appreciation for customers and build long-term customer relationships.

Payroll Platform Super User Support

  • Serve as an expert in payroll functionality, capabilities, rules, and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot, train, educate, and support client employee payroll (helpline escalation and supervisor engaged), including client payroll administration, managers, and supervisors.

This Role is a Good Fit if You Have:

  • An associate degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, finance, or a related field, preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll administration, with a preference for multi-state payroll processing in a client-facing capacity
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, encompassing payroll calculations, tax withholdings, wage deductions, and familiarity with timekeeping systems
  • A solid grasp of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Previous exposure to payroll processing platforms, particularly HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), preferably UKG Ready
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with PEO or HR Shared Services would be highly advantageous

The compensation range for this role is $26-$27/hour. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth and years of experience, certifications, and specific location.
