Here's What You'll Do:

Lead the development and implementation of patient recruitment and retention strategies, optimizing patient engagement and enhancing participant and site experiences. Establish and lead a Feasibility Center of Excellence, partnering with preferred CROs to deliver data-driven, optimized clinical trial scenarios, and developing innovative feasibility tools and processes. Direct study start-up and site feasibility processes with an innovative approach to accelerate trial initiation and execution. Champion creative solutions in risk management, RBQM, and clinical data monitoring, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement. Oversee alliance management, cultivating robust relationships with CROs, vendors, and other external partners, managing contracts and outsourcing effectively. Drive collaborative efforts across the organization, building and maintaining strong partnerships with peers and key stakeholders. Serve as a dynamic member of the Leadership Team, advocating for operational excellence. Guide the CTED team through changes and ambiguity, focusing on building new capabilities and scaling operations as needed. Communicate a clear vision for the team, emphasizing optimization and excellence in all aspects of trial operations. Qualifications: Advanced degree in life sciences, healthcare, or related field (MSc, MBA, PhD, or equivalent) strongly preferred. 15+ years of industry experience in Clinical Operations, including global clinical trial conduct, feasibility, study start-up, patient recruitment, and retention. 10+ years of team leadership experience, with a proven track record of building effective teams and driving innovation in clinical trial optimization. Deep understanding of the clinical trial landscape and commitment to innovation, creativity, and operational excellence. Extensive knowledge of drug development processes, ICH-GCP guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11, and major Health Authority regulations. Strong project management skills, effective matrix leadership, and the ability to hold teams accountable for deliverables. Proven ability to work effectively in dynamic and ambiguous situations, with strategic planning and visionary leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with a history of building effective partnerships and influencing senior leadership and key stakeholders. Ability to travel up to 30% and thrive in a highly entrepreneurial biotech environment. Alignment with Moderna's core values and Mindsets.
