Qualified Candidates:
Primary role is first response to the ED when Orthopaedic consultation is requested, including any orthopaedic injury or illness.
Performing history and physical examinations, hospital rounding, floor consultations, admissions and discharges.
First assisting in the operating room, ordering and interpreting radiographic and laboratory data
Joint aspiration/injection, reduction of fractures/dislocations, application of casts and splints
Developing appropriate treatment plans in accordance with Virginia state law and established treatment protocols with the Orthopaedic surgeon
Strong interpersonal skills are essential as well as basic computer competence

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience of direct patient care as an Orthopaedic APP who enjoys autonomy while collaborating with Orthopaedic Surgeons, Hospitalists, Emergency Room physicians, APPs and Nurses providing world class care to patients and their families.

Must be board-certified
Virginia licensure or ability to obtain
