Our West Michigan client has a long term contract role for a Technical Writer with experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software (preferably Siemens) and New Product Development processes in the Consumer Package Goods (CPG) field. This is a hybrid role with 2 - 3 days a week onsite in West Michigan.

responsibilities:
Provide clear input to project teams on schedule, issues, and deliverables related to product data and product specification management
Initiate and control the implementation of changes to product data
Monitor ongoing work queue to ensure timely delivery of business sustaining product data changes
Contribute to the development of best practices for organizational business process and technical solutions
Identify and mitigate risk to maintain a consistent supply chain, regulatory compliance, and data quality
Act as a stakeholder advocate, trainer, and mentor for PLM best practices, methods, and processes
Assist PLM end-users with technical problem solving, product data reporting, and portfolio management
Interface with all key internal and external customers to accurately process changes and structure new product data records

Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 1 year of experienceEducation: Bachelors
