KVAL is looking for a Newscast Director for our Newscasts

Responsibilities:

Perform any production duties as assigned including:

• Direct and/or staff any assigned newscasts and productions
• Flexibility with schedule to facilitate crewing of newscasts
• Train production crew on equipment and operating procedures
• Supervise production crew on a daily basis
• Maintain production studio and control room
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned
• Communicate with co-workers in a professional and courteous manner
• Facilitate a focused work environment

Requirements:

• Experience Directing and staffing newscasts
• Knowledge of production operating procedures and equipment
• Ability to communicate clearly and calmly during on-air moments
• Flexibility with schedule to facilitate crewing of newscasts
• Ability to read and write
• Must be able to lift & position equipment weighing 40 pounds
