Job Description: We are looking for a Sales Director to manage a team of sales representatives, determine prospective brands, expand sales, and ultimately be responsible for a portion of revenue annually. This role is in the Oklahoma City/Norman region focusing around Student-Athletes at the University of Oklahoma. The Sales Director will be responsible for designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with clients, and developing their team into more effective sales representatives. The role will liaise with ancillary departments to ensure strong communication in a fast-paced and nascient environment of NIL.

Job Duties:
  • Develop and communicate to their team the strategic plans to achieve sales targets, ultimately executing on all goals
  • Regularly report up to senior leadership on status, roadblocks, and successes
  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations on client opportunities
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs
  • Empower the sales team to maintain a strong pipeline of prospects
  • Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes
  • Coordinate with other team members across department to optimize the sales effort and the execution of all sponsorship contracts

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 5-10 years of proven ability to meet and exceed sales
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and listening skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in selling or managing client relationships, business development, or sports background
  • Mastery of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office suite, including frequent use of PowerPoint and Excel
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Ability to travel overnight 15% of the time
