Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform the quality control function through independent research and coordination which ensures that the accuracy and accountability of all company documentation is maintained in an easily and accessible manner, conforming to company standards for Document Control. Documentation includes Engineering Documents, Drawings, Procedures, Historical Records, and Project Records. Accurate control of documentation is critical and will affect the overall pace of production, quality of product, or overhead costs of projects. This position also includes assisting in the implementation and sustaining of both a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management System (PDM). This may include data migration, route generation, document and process standardization, and unification of data management system improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL


• Controls the issuance and release of documents including drawings, parts, specifications, etc. per company procedure.

• Routes, releases, returns, verifies, and distribute various documentation per company procedure.

• Processes project related information according to company procedures.

• Assists in preparing documentation for management, client, or others.

• Interface with Client Document Control systems and working directly with their client counterpart.

• Reading, understanding, and adhering to Client Document Control requirements and process.

• Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents.

• Reviews and provides hardcopy and electronic preparation techniques.

• Maintains consistent publishing standards and file archives.

• Prepares finished material suitable for publication.

• Examines quality record documents and verifies completeness.

• Assists in archive projects on an as-needed basis.

• Assists in researching archived documents and retrieving files as requested by Internal Customers

• Answer questions related to documentation program and storage of documents including file infrastructure and management.

• Set-up project folders and audits projects in Document Management System.

• Assists in development & maintenance of the Document Management System.

• Assist in resolving PDM and Enovia PLM system issues.

• Assist in organizing and developing reference library, testing and evaluation procedures and other educational materials needed to aid users of data management systems.

• Assist in the management of users added to the Enovia PLM and PDM system.

• Assist with other duties as required.



Qualifications

REQUIRED


• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

• A minimum two (2) years' experience with Document Management.

• Working knowledge of Document Control Interfaces including SharePoint, OpenText/Livelink, Aconex.

• Working knowledge of Explorer, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

DESIRED


• Basic subsea oil and gas industry knowledge.

• Previous experience with Dassault PDM.

• Previous experience with Enovia PLM.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
