Our System Security Engineers do a lot of amazing things, but for this role in particular you will:

  • Design security architectures based on requirements from your analysis of adversary threats and proposed countermeasures
  • Implement and test security countermeasures according to the guidance provided by the U.S. Government
  • Work with Security State of the Art (S-SOTA) technologies
  • Provide our customers with sophisticated, defense-in-depth security solutions

Because of the need for consistent, in person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full time on site.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
This role involves understanding systems engineering techniques and processes and requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, applied sciences, or a related field plus 4-6 years relevant work experience.

  • Systems engineering knowledge
  • Writing System Requirements
  • Defining System Architectures
  • Integrating Hardware and Software
  • Validating and Verifying the delivered solution


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Additional preferred skills include:

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or MagicDraw
  • Cryptographic algorithm implementation
  • Configuring security features of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) S-SOTA components
  • Firmware development for COTS S-SOTA components such as Xilinx or Microsemi FPGAs
  • Applying secure coding practices, securing operating systems, and virtualization
  • Implementing and configuring security protocols

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $156860
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
