In this role, as a member of the Technology Enablement team the Business Analyst Consultant will be responsible for supporting operations and program level reporting to improve benefits realization and roadmap execution for Optum Enterprise Clinical Services (ECS) technology strategies. You will be accountable for supporting the benefit owner with identifying, tracking, and measuring benefits aligned with the strategic objectives of the program. The consultant will assist with measuring planned benefits and evaluating performance throughout the delivery process, ensuring that benefits are realized and sustained according to the Benefit Realization Management (BRM) plan.

This is a challenging role that relies on your ability to effectively lead and collaborate both internally and externally, continue to monitor excellence in reporting and align with key stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, and subject matter experts to understand planned and emerging benefits, measure and monitor performance, and recommend solutions to enhance the value of ECS technology solutions and strategies
  • Analyze data, summarize insights, produce executive status updates, triage requests, act as a point of contact for the benefit owner (team director). Identify related trends, issues, and opportunities
  • Drive best practices in BRM and technology roadmap initiatives through the documentation of targets, performance, and the financial and operational implications
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for the Optum Clinical Manager (OCM) business case for operations benefit targets approved by ECS leadership
  • Understand data flows and upstream and downstream impacts of our reporting and data
  • Develop reports and reference documents to align with current delivery timelines and status

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience performing data analysis to make recommendations and solve complex issues
  • 3+ years of experience with technology implementations and or complex project/program support
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access
  • Experience with reporting and/or visualization tools using BI Tools, Excel, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines successfully
  • Experience preparing client and leadership level summaries and insights

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare / clinical experience (UM, CM)
