Summary

We are currently in search of an experienced Cake Decorator & Traveling Trainer based in New York or New Jersey to provide technical support, bakery, and cake decorating training to assigned client accounts.

Essential Functions

• Provide training to in-store bakery staff on cake decorating techniques and baking procedures for various frozen batters and mixes
• Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies for the ready-to-sell product portfolio
• Introduce new ideas and programs to assigned client accounts
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure top-notch service and resources are delivered to clients
• Adaptability to evolving environments
• Capacity to stand and perform fine hand manipulations for up to 10 hours daily
• Proficient in computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to carefully follow recipes and training procedures based on customer specifications

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

• Must be located in New Jersey or a neighboring state
• 3-5 years of cake decorating and baking experience; preference for grocery store bakery experience
• Portfolio is preferred
• Responsible for managing provided tools and equipment
• Capacity to work in colder climates for 3-6 hours daily
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs manually
• Capable of standing and performing fine hand manipulations for up to 10 hours per day
• Must be able to stay stationary 100% of the time
• Frequent operation of kitchen, baking, and decorating equipment and machinery
• Frequent communication with colleagues and management, exchanging accurate information in these interactions

Travel required

• 75% travel
