Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a mid-level Cyber Mid Level System Administrator to support our Common Data Link Management System (CDLMS) Software Engineering Support (SES) Program contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) facility in San Diego, CA.

As prime contractor on the CDLMS task order, Peraton is responsible is supporting the Navy's Command and Control Platform (C2P) systems and tactical data links: Link 16, Link11, S TADIL J, Link22, JREAP A/C Interfaces, Host Interface, and HMI.

The selected candidate will work in a dynamic, team-based development environment for the Navy's various data link systems.
As a System Administrator you will be supporting one of several sprints within the C2P functions. This position will involve maintaining and implementing new capabilities (ECPs) into the RSCP test tool,
System Host.

The selected candidate will create scenarios for Host stimulus and also use a data reduction tool to analyze data between C2P and RSCP.


What you'll do:

  • ACAS (STIG) scannings
  • Systems requirements development and allocation.
  • Implementing software specifications
  • Analyzing software systems, codes, and software modules to resolve issues with software functionality and/or performance.
  • Supporting the integration of, and transition to new hardware and software systems for Tactical Data Links.
Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • 5 years with a BS/BA degree, 3 years with a Master's degree, 0 years needed with PhD. In lieu of degree 9 experience of applicable expeirence will be considered.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA Linux+ and/or Microsoft Windows Certification
  • Experience with computer system administration
  • Proficiency in technical writing and oral communications skills
  • Ability to work with and communicate with project team members and customers representatives.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
In addition to the required skills, the ideal candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Experience with system administration in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and greater, and Microsoft Windows 7 and greater.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Experience with installing, hardening, operating and testing systems.
  • Experience with Application servers (like JBOSS and Tomcat)
  • Experience with UNIX Shell Scripts, PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Java, and SQL for software package development Target Salary Range
