This unit is a 35-bed med-surg/telemetry unit with double and single occupancy. We focus on inpatient medical-surgical patients, including general surgery, acute care surgery, neurosurgery, urology, cardiac telemetry and post procedural care.
We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient's bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. All new hire registered nurses at Regions Hospital will be automatically enrolled. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. We are proud of the care we give each and every patient.
Work Schedule: 0.70 Evenings. 8 hour shifts. Every other weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications:
*Degree in Nursing
*Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
*CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications:
*BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
*One year of acute care RN experience is preferred
