Job description

We are in search of a lodge manager as well as an assistant lodge manager for our small 10 guest all-inclusive fly fishing lodge in Montana. The Madison River Lodge is located near the town of Ennis, MT. We are interested in individual candidates as well as couples working as a team. Candidates will be part of a small team and will need to work closely with our executive chef and sous chef. Employment is seasonal and runs from May through October. Responsibilities include greeting guests and providing services throughout their stay including guest services, sourcing and purchasing lodge supplies, housekeeping, property management and assisting our executive chef and sous chef with breakfast and dinner services. A strong hospitality background is preferred for at least one of the individuals. Ideal candidates are couples that can share provided employee housing and work well together to accomplish the various daily tasks. Our main office handles all guest bookings, payment collection and guide bookings so our lodge managers can focus on lodge operations.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience in fine dining meal service preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication skills and the comfort to interact with guests in roll as host/hostess
  • Excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Hosting guests
  • Communicating guest needs with the chef and fishing guides
  • Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in executing meal services
  • Oversee housekeeping and property management
  • Expected hours 45-55 per week

Benefits:

  • Competitive seasonal salary from May through October
  • On-site housing available and meals during shifts
  • Pay $6500-$4000 per month per person depending on experience and housing needs
  • Additional gratuities, often significant, are distributed among lodge staff
