About Being a Project Analyst
The Project Analyst role is responsible for gathering and interpreting business requirements from internal and external customers, collaborating with the IT team to identify the technical approach, and then creating design documents and specifications to meet business requirements. Exemplary client management skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of the implementation of the BrandMuscle solution for a specific client or clients ensuring the solution meets client scope and delivery date
  • Gain a high-level understanding of the business needs that the software seeks to fulfill
  • Translate high-level business requirements and task analysis into specific software specifications by working with the client, operations, and technical staff in the development of business and system requirements
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, and workflow and process analysis
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Design solutions that satisfy client needs while adhering to product architecture and strategy
  • Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents
  • Proven ability to create system test plans and test scripts
  • Establishing and enforcing consistent product design guidelines
  • Communicate the software requirements and designs to multiple internal teams and provide support during the construction phase
  • Work with IT staff and internal users to test IT jobs according to testing plans, provide feedback on test results, and monitor open issues
  • Ensuring the solution delivered by engineering teams is consistent with the supplied requirements
  • Recommend areas for business process and product improvements
  • Provide project management assistance, identify risks or changes to project scope and deliverables, and effectively communicate to project owner
  • Be a change agent, ensuring users embrace new and innovative technology
  • Managing multiple projects of a complex nature, including identifying appropriate resources needed and developing a schedule to ensure completion of projects
  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders for the project including the client, end-users, Technology Engineering, and Client Service
  • Providing ongoing feedback, assessment, and metrics around project status and issues to your manager, the project team, and executive team
  • Providing recommendations by developing a thorough understanding of the client's business and BrandMuscle's product offerings
  • Applying best practices that meet the client's business objectives, measured by client implementation survey and manager input
  • Assisting with financial goal management for client implementations and projects
  • Working knowledge of new products, practices, and procedures
  • Work closely with the Technology Engineering team to prioritize issue resolution to meet both the client's and BrandMuscle's objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems, business, technology, or a related field or equivalent experience is required
  • 3-4+ years of technical project management experience
  • 4-5+ years of account service or client-facing advertising experience
  • Knowledge of advertising and print production processes
  • Demonstrated track record of successful project management
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Working knowledge of database query tools and spreadsheets
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional client service
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral, and the ability to work well with all level of users and IT staff
  • Previous presentation experience required
  • Some travel required
