As a Communications Specialist, you'll be a part of the Provider Communications Team within Optum Behavioral Health. You'll have a direct impact on the relationship our 300,000+ providers have with us. By helping ensure providers receive clear, concise, applicable and actionable information, we can make it easier for them to provide quality care to our members and complete the administrative tasks that go hand-in-hand with delivering that care.

The Communications Specialist will work in an independent manner, as part of a larger team that supports communication needs across Optum Behavioral Health. Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be crucial to your success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with the development, coordination and project management of communications to the behavioral provider/facility community, including clarifying business needs, targeted audience and timelineWork closely with team colleagues and internal stakeholders to evaluate existing communication channels (e.g., emails, web sites, etc.) and implement improvementsSupport communication measurement activities, including providing results to stakeholders, monitoring trends and maintaining best practicesHelp develop and maintain team guidelines, standards, best practices and internal presentationsMaintain strong working knowledge of UnitedHealthcare business policies and procedures

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
