Job Summary:

  • Performs support for ongoing studies under supervision of PI or technical staff

Requirements and Licensure:

  • High school (at least grade 11) or college student.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Must be able to work with laboratory animals, including rodents.
  2. Actively participates as a team member by supporting decisions, accepting change, managing conflict, and valuing the contributions of others.
  3. May fill-in for other support staff when necessary.
  4. Provides support in the area indicated by the PI or other technical staff.

    Skills/Qualifications:
  • Ability to work with laboratory animals.
  • Strong English grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and protocols
  • Awareness of common safety hazards and universal precautions to establish a safe work environment

Work Environment:

  • Comfortable, well-lit office environment.
  • Moderate noise level.

Physical Requirements:

  • Involvement in standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, finger and hand dexterity.
  • Capable of talking, hearing, and seeing.
  • Lifts, carries, pushes, and/or pulls up to 100 lbs. maximum.
