Non-profit hospital that is the region's largest employer and enjoys the benefit of a large, private endowment ensuring its financial solvency. It provides care to the residents of Greenwood, Abbeville, Laurens, Saluda, McCormick, Edgefield and Newberry Counties.
Opportunity:
Seeking BC/BE Psychiatrist for Medical Director role
- 40 hours per week or 7 on/7 off
- Adult Acute Care unit that currently has 16 beds.
- The provider sees patients on the inpatient unit sharing those responsibilities with an APP and sees consults on the medical tower.
- Help determine admissions from the Emergency Department.
- Approximately 4 patients per provider plus patients needing consult on the medical tower - usually 1-3 patients per day.
- Participate in the strategic direction of Behavioral Health, support improvement in the care of this patient population and partner with service line leadership to achieve these goals.
- 4 APPs to support inpatient and outpatient services.
- 5 fulltime therapists
Compensation:
Competitive starting salary depending on experience. Full benefits package to include medical, dental, vision insurance; PTO, sick time, CME allowance, retirement plan; student loan forgiveness available.
