Position Overview:

Currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate General Ledger Accountant to join our team. As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting in financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accruals, consolidations, allocations, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in the coordination of the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Record and post journal entries for various transactions and adjustments.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to ensure proper financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting and audits.
  • Assist in the consolidation of financial data from subsidiary companies.
  • Prepare and review intercompany transactions and allocations and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proven experience as a General Ledger Accountant, Financial Reporting, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with Foreign Exchange (FX) accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Big 4Experience
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
  • Familiarity with ERP such as SAP, Workday ERP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct.
  • Experience with consolidation and allocation processes.
  • Experience in a large organization.
