Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree with focus on Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing, Buying, and Technology skills. Must be able to read, write, speak, follow and give written and/or oral directions in English.

Training and Experience: Three (3) years in retail, preferably in a boutique style shop, must be able to operate a cash register, computer, and telephone.

Job Knowledge: Supervisory skills in a luxury resort establishment. Basic knowledge of buying trends and retail, some knowledge of merchandising, buying, pricing, discounting, and technological skills. Strong verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills.

Job Summary: Manages the daily operation of The Gallery of Shops, The Surf Shop, and The Lodge Shop, working closely with Retail Director and Supervisors. Maintains a level of five diamond customer service in all retail outlets. Assists with training, auditing, and counseling Sales Associates. Develop and strengthen Member and Guest relationships.

Physical Abilities: Must have high energy and be able to work and stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces. Must be able to lift 30 pounds above head. Capable of using a stepladder to reach up for boxes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts if required.
Arrive to work on time, consistently.
Upon entering the property, arrive in professional attire, clean and in good repair.
Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style. Management has final approval.
Ensure all Retail Sales Associates are adhering to company grooming standards.
Maintain safe workplace in all retail outlets in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Maintain and enforce customer service standards in all retail outlets. Audit team of Sales Associates, providing prompt feedback and coaching, to include counseling when necessary.
Attend all required training, safety courses, and departmental meetings. Plans and leads quarterly staff meetings and daily lineups.
Create and distribute weekly schedule for Retail Sales Associates. Process time corrections, PTO requests, and approve payroll on a weekly basis.
Monitor labor hours and overtime, keeping costs in line with business volume.
Ensure operating supplies are adequately stocked at all times. Monitor monthly operating expenses and ensure costs are in line with budgets and business levels.
Ensure all operational invoices are coded and processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Circulate daily throughout The Gallery of Shops, The Surf Shop, and The Lodge Shop supporting Sales Associates during primary service times and covering floor shifts as needed.
Oversee the hiring, training, counseling, and termination process of all Sales Associates in accordance with Human Resources guidelines. Acts as Department Trainer to onboard new employees and coach existing staff.
Conduct Annual Performance Reviews for all Sales Associates.
Identify and resolve any service issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and upholding the Retail Service Standards.
Coordinate custom corporate and group orders, working directly with vendors, internal Group Sales Coordinators/Managers, and customers. Communicate with all parties throughout the entire process and ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Supervise the ordering and shipping process for special requests and phone orders, in accordance with Retail Department SOPs.
Work with Retail Director to prepare monthly Retail Event Calendar and Retail Product Bulletin and distribute this information to Sales Associates.
Work with Retail Director to plan and promote creative and unique in-store events. Submit marketing requests, social media content, BEOs, and schedule vendor appearances and trunk shows.
Attend and participate in quarterly inventory audits, working with Retail Director and Retail Receiving Manager to resolve discrepancies and minimize inventory variance.
Monitor and process damaged or expired inventory. Coordinate RTVs when appropriate.
Assist Retail Director with inventorying and reordering core items to prevent sell-outs.
Assist Retail Receiving Manager with ticketing merchandise, coding invoices, and other tasks as needed.
Assist Retail Director with special projects as needed.
