Job Description:
We are looking for a Product Engineering Manager who will be responsible for leading product life cycle, roadmap, feature prioritization, requirements, development, and dependencies for our Digital Menu Boards (DMBs), the world's second-largest digital signage platform. The DMB team is ultimately responsible for all content creation and delivery, as well as all IT solution project management and subsequent deployment.
The ideal candidate is a hard-working individual who actively works to remove barriers to achieving results. Success in this role requires understanding customer needs and the environment in which customers and crew interact. These solutions must accommodate simple consistent installation to 14,000+ restaurants with minimal need for technical support.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop & maintain comprehensive Product roadmaps.
  • Manage the current DMB solution technical enhancements & updates.
  • DMB & Decisioning (DY) Product accountability
  • Create frequent program communications to stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular meetings with initiative project managers & cross-functional teams.
  • Escalate issues from project managers and vendors to resolution.
  • Involvement and partnership for the Global DMB (DMB 2.0) program that is being rolled out in the US.
  • Guide quality testing and Pilot testing for new product releases and features
  • Track and manage the resolution of defects and tickets with vendors and testing teams.
  • Lead demos and showcase new features to critical stakeholders.
  • Partner with our Global and US teams to provide a holistic solution that meets US stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify key technical requirements needed from cross-functional teams, US Operators and external vendors.
  • Work closely with peer product managers across all channels and capabilities to prioritize initiatives, identify opportunities for teamwork, align roadmaps and coordinate product development and delivery
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate sophisticated concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure alignment of product roadmaps with US strategy and, where applicable, Digital, Global Technology Product roadmaps and vendor roadmaps
  • Become a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in your product to speak to and answer questions from other teams and product managers.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years Technical Product Management experience
  • 5+ years professional work experience
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused with a strong attention to detail.
  • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing, McDonald's POS and other restaurant technologies
  • Ability to assemble and clearly communicate technical information to all levels of the organization
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility while handling job responsibilities
  • Stakeholder management skills with a proven track record in partnering to solve complex issues, leveraging multiple tools including technology
  • Desire and ability to cultivate & maintain strong, cohesive relationships at all levels of the organization - up, down, and across


Preferred

  • McDonald's business experience / restaurant experience.
  • Mobile or digital experience.
  • Knowledge of McDonald's POS, cashless, back office, and other restaurant technologies.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or business with related experience
