The Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Senior with a strong work ethic, who is ready to share our dedication to the people we serve. AMRTC is an inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.

In addition to performing Registered Nurse responsibilities, this position assists the Registered Nurse Supervisor in managing the delivery of high-quality nursing care on their assigned unit. Responsibilities include:
  • Work in collaboration with the RN Supervisor to help ensure compliance with facility policies, program requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide clinical support and leadership to nursing staff.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned on unit.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse; AND
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing degree, plus two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse; OR
  • Associate's degree or diploma in nursing, plus three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
* Certification in a relevant specialty area of nursing expertise may substitute for one (1) year of Registered Nurse experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
