Primary Job Duties:
Teaching at the undergraduate and possibly the graduate level.
Teaching financial accounting through the advanced level and a least one secondary area with a strong preference given to candidates qualified to teach fraud-related courses and/or graduate managerial accounting.
The normal teaching load is nine credit hours per semester, but a six-credit hour per semester teaching load will be granted for the first academic year.
Publishing scholarly research, and providing service to the department, school, and university are also requirements of the position. Utilize effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners.Minimum Qualifications:
Assistant Professor – 1) Ph.
D./DBA degree or ABD in Accounting, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution. If ABD, doctoral degree must be completed before date of hire; 2) Potential or demonstrated ability to be an excellent teacher; 3) Potential or demonstrated ability to publish a steady stream of peer-reviewed scholarly research; 4) Interest in teaching in a hybrid or online format; and 5) Professional certification or commitment to attain certification within two years of starting date of employment. Associate Professor – 1) Ph.
