Nuvance Health, a 7-hospital health system located in Connecticut and the Hudson Valley in New York, is seeking an academically oriented general thoracic surgeon. This position is based on the Connecticut side of the system, at Danbury and Norwalk hospitals. The ideal candidate should have an interest or skills in robot-assisted surgery. Skills in minimally-invasive foregut surgery is highly desirable. Involvement in resident and medical student education will be expected. This program is under the leadership of Dr. Faiz Bhora, System Chief of Thoracic Surgery and Thoracic Oncology.
The surgeon will join a division of four outstanding general thoracic surgeons. This is an excellent opportunity to work with nationally recognized thoracic surgeons in a dynamic health system in one of the most desirable areas of Connecticut, within an hour of NYC. In addition to robust clinical support, the surgeon will have access and mentorship in cutting-edge translational and outcomes research, supported by a lab and post-doctoral research fellows at the Rudy Ruggles Biomedical Research Institute.
