Job Description

Key Responsibilities for Construction Estimator - Commercial Construction:

Conduct comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential project details.Analyze and interpret project blueprints and specifications to determine accurate estimates.Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals.Continuously update and maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference.Monitor and evaluate industry trends, materials costs, and construction methods to provide accurate estimates.Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as necessary.Assist in value engineering efforts to maximize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Review and assess subcontractor and vendor proposals.Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a seamless transition from the estimating phase to project execution.

The Successful Applicant

Construction Estimator - Commercial Construction Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) in Tucson, AZProven experience as a Construction Project Estimator in a commercial construction environment.Proficiency in estimating software and tools for building and construction Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Knowledge of local building codes and regulations (a plus).Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is a plus.
