We invite CRNAs to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds, and progressive visionaries together in our Reproduction Medicine Infertility IVF Center team at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte, NC.
Position Highlights: work alongside a team of compassionate and caring REI physicians with some of the highest IVF birth rates in the country.
- Monday-Friday, occasional weekend coverage (1-2 times per year for 2 hours max if needed)
- 30 hours a week, 5 six-hour shifts (7am-1 pm)
- 1 OR, 1 procedure room, 5 recovery beds
- Administration components, 2-3 hours per quarter
- Team consists of four REI Physicians, bedside RN team, scrub technician and Nurse Supervisor
- Deep Sedation/GA
Essential Functions:
- Manages patients undergoing general, regional and local anesthesia appropriately.
- Low acuity patient population, preselected and approved for IVF procedures. (Oocyte retrievals, hysteroscopy, D&C for early missed Ab)
- Develops an appropriate anesthetic plan of care considering the patient's medical history and test results.
- Performs venous and arterial access procedures as necessary.
- Recognizes anesthetic complications or unfavorable patient conditions and adjusts anesthetic plan accordingly.
- Remains at the head of the bed when transporting the patient to the recovery unit and submits a complete report to the nurse receiving the patient.
- Performs a daily check of the anesthesia machine and other essential equipment and demonstrates knowledge of the proper use of the anesthesia machine and accessory equipment.
- Reporting structure to the department of anesthesia.
