The Continuous Improvement Manager, known as a DBSL (Danaher Business System Leader) provides support and application of DBS (Danaher Business System) across NACO Client Services by leading initiatives that improve business results in order to meet the requirements of our customers. Facilitate Kaizen events to drive change in a fast paced and "ever changing" environment leveraging their strong interpersonal, professional, and collaborative skills. Drive learnings and work through others at all levels, utilizing a very "hands on", Gemba based approach to applying and teaching DBS.

The individual will work directly with Client Services, Field Sales and organization leaders to continuous improvement consultation and execution leveraging the Danaher Business System (DBS). The individual will interact with peers, leadership, and field employees on a daily basis, building strong partnerships and support for your NACO contract base.

This position is part of the North America Client Services organization and will be Hybrid (local to Brea, CA). At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Champion continuous improvement overall for NACO Client Services
  • Becomes an expert in DBS fundamental tools and be a training and development resource for these tools.
  • Ensures successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process (includes; (1) planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to PD and Daily Management, (2) kaizen execution and (3) sustainment of kaizens).
  • Provide coaching during daily management and help team use the process to identify root causes and countermeasures to close gaps.
  • Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other waste throughout the business and provide expert counsel on appropriate DBS tools and project management to eliminate them.
  • Provide DBS (danaher business system) and project management consultation to leaders and associates within the NACO Client Services organization to drive continuous process improvement or problem solving.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis of complex data sets to provide decision and analytical support to management by developing and interpreting data.

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline with 9+ years of experience in Contracting, Customer Support, Finance, Accounting, IT or similar (preferred) OR Master's degree with 7+ years' relevant experience OR Doctoral degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience using process improvement tools or Certified DBSL (Danaher Business System Leader)
  • Strong People Leader and team builder with a track record of creating followership and influencing peers
  • Proven ability to facilitate relationships across company functions (Sales, Service, Customers, Client Services) and ability to triage when applicable. Is a sales advocate &and partner to internal organizations to understand sales issues
