Manufacturing Engineer(Switchgear)Job Purpose:
Develop and implement tooling, process, product documentation/process instructions required for the System Integration in the fast pace environment. Has to be able to develop Manufacturing Process Instructions with sufficient details to support repeatable and consistent manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate must possess ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a demanding environment, demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. In concert with quality organization, ensures that customer requirements are implemented and met. Design the system integration lean line layout and equip line with required tooling and fixtures. Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to adapt quickly to changes,prioritize and execute multiple tasksin the fast pace environment.
Duties Include:- Interpret applicable codes, regulations and customer specifications for switchgear and other electrical systems projects.
- Technically support quote team with technical customer perceptions, project specifications, cost estimations, schedule development and other project related matters.
- Prepare processes, work Instructions, tooling, equipment list, Shop floor Control route and other infrastructure documentation per industry standards and customer requirements.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing to train, build, test and troubleshoot of electrical systems and switchgears
- Effectively lead or contribute to technical teams on qualification, audits and ship acceptance events.
- Communicate with customers, peers and management to obtain smooth manufacturing execution andserve as a link among suppliers, customers and system installers to ensure product conformance.
- Analyze, investigate and recommend proper solutions for complex non-compliances, incidents and technical issues using appropriate methodology, paperwork and reporting.
- Continuously seek out opportunities and implement improvements to reach best operational efficiency
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.
- Bachelor's degree Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Min 2-4years' experiencein the manufacturing environment
- Familiarity withswitchgear manufacturing environment is desired
- Solid technical capability on process development, electrical systems test and operation
- Proficient in Google suite, MS Office or equivalent
- Project management skills are desirable
- Ability to work under pressure, Self-motivated, self-starter, and eager to learn
- Lift demand: Lift up to 60lb on an occasional basis
- Availability (when required)to work on weekends, public holidays and during odd hours due to the nature of the business.
