Job Description
The Office of Student Involvement (OSI) Coordinator of Student Organizations & Fraternity & Sorority Life serves a vital role in providing support and educational opportunities to recognized student organizations and the Fraternity and Sorority Community. This position serves as the primary resource person for UMSL's recognized student organizations and their advisors and provides direct support to the campus social fraternities and sororities, their respective governing councils (Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, and National Pan-Hellenic Council), and ancillary groups. The Coordinator of Student Organizations & Fraternity and Sorority Life manages and promotes all recognized student organizations, creates, and implements programming to support academic and leadership development, and guides students and campus partners to engage with student involvement at UMSL. This position serves as the community-level administrator of the campus' engagement software, Triton Connect. The coordinator plays a vital role in developing and sustaining relationships with students, alumni, advisors, and community partners. The Coordinator of Student Organizations & Fraternity and Sorority Life reports directly to the Director of Student Involvement

Advise student leaders in organizational development, program development and execution, officer training and transition, and fiscal management.
Advise Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association, and National Pan-Hellenic Council in self-governance of fraternity and sorority community including planning and implementation of recruitment activities, educational programming, process development, and peer-led judicial processes.
Assist students in application of institutional and (inter)national policies, procedures, and programs impacting the fraternity and sorority community.
Work with student leaders to provide risk management/risk reduction education to members.
Oversee the administrative functions including website maintenance, grade report running, communication to leadership, etc.
Research content and develop curriculum for educational programs that enhance organization success and promote leadership development within student organizations and the fraternity and sorority community.
Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with campus and community stakeholders to support and advocate for student organizations and the social fraternity and sorority community.
Advise student leaders in organizational development, program development and execution, development of policies and procedures, officer training and transition, and fiscal management.
Manage student organization formation, recognition, re-recognition, and daily management using Triton Connect
Conduct assessment and evaluation initiatives utilizing assessment instruments to identify the extent to which student organization involvement supports the University's mission and vision and student development.
Design and coordinate educational and leadership development programs which are grounded in student and leadership development theories.
Development and implementation of manuals, including financial operations, recognition process, emergency/accident procedures and advisor resource materials to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
This list of duties, tasks, and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

Shift
40 hours a week. M-F, 8am – 5pm normally – some nights and weekends required. All hours outside of business hours can be flexed in employee's schedule.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in College Student Development, Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field
Affiliation with an inter/national fraternal organization
Demonstrated experience working with Greek-letter organizations, including multicultural organizations such as NPHC
Experience supervising student staff or graduate assistants

Anticipated Hiring Range
Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $ $22.39 per hour
