At United, we have some of the best aircraft in the world. The Avionics Technician is responsible for providing quality service to internal customers in Technical Operations. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of aircraft radio, electrical and avionics systems.

Starting hourly rate is up to $41.51 p/h, subject to a collective bargaining agreement.

We're looking for a full-time Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) who has valid Airframe & Power-plant certification to join our Technical Operations team in San Francisco, CA.

In this vital role, you will provide service and maintenance for aircraft systems, power-plant, airframes, and components. You'll handle a wide variety of duties that make every day different, including inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, parts replacement, and repair, as well as routine maintenance.

Keeping our fleet flight-ready

Perform aircraft maintenance work in accordance with FAA and Company regulation Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results following blueprints, schematics, wiring handbooks, and also other technical documents Perform such typical maintenance functions as cabling, component removal/installation, wire harness removal/installation, fabrication/repair of wire assemblies, and continuity checks Fabricate and install all wiring assemblies, static lines, and associated mechanical equipment

With experience, drive, and determination to excel, you can move into a variety of roles, including management, inspection, quality control, fleet planning and others. After gaining seniority, there will be opportunities to transfer to other locations within our outstanding network.

Since this is a union position based on seniority, you will be assigned an initial schedule crafted to meet our needs at the airport. You must be available for any shift within a 24/7 operation, weekends, and holidays You may be required to work mandatory overtime, when vital.
