THE ROLE

The Associate, Innovation & Strategy is a key position where creative and strategic thinking is valued, working with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality partner relationships and work products. The fast-paced position requires strong strategy, creativity, and collaboration skills to assist Legends' day-to-day working relationships with several key partners. The position will focus on helping organizations accelerate all aspects of their business operations, including partnership strategy & sales, marketing & brand strategy, and fan engagement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Interpret audience and market data to derive key insights and deliver recommendations to help drive our partners' business.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps and other client deliverables that will help our partners achieve growth objectives across fan engagement, sponsorship, ticketing, merchandise, hospitality, and other revenue-generating operations.
  • Assist with industry and market research, brainstorming, and creativity to support our internal and external partners.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in various industries across the sports and entertainment business to demonstrate subject matter expertise and thought leadership.
  • Provide internal and client stakeholders feedback on engagement, milestones, partner strategies, solution enhancements, and other vital initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements below represent knowledge, skill, and ability.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field (Master's degree a plus)
  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience (inclusive of internships) focused on client delivery and client management within a consulting organization, agency, brand, or team/league.
  • General understanding of the sports, media, and entertainment landscapes.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to be a good team member, proactively add value and always possess a can-do attitude.
  • Must possess keen listening skills and a strong analytical and creative problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and foster key business relationships both internally (across Legends' key business verticals) and externally (with our partners).
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, multitask, and prioritize workload while coordinating with others to meet deadlines proactively.
  • A focused, strong-minded individual with an ambition to make an impact across the company.
  • Must be comfortable working as an integral part of a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and computer proficiency with MS Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work traditional and non-traditional office hours as needed.
