Position Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Staff Accountant will perform full-cycle accounting, contract administration, and assist in ad hoc report preparation, job cost analysis, internal / external audits and various federal and state tax return preparation.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety first, in everything we do.

Accounting Tasks:

  • Cash Administration - transaction posting, reporting and analysis.
  • A/P and A/ Maintenance
  • Fixed Asset Administration - acquisition, disposal, depreciation, rate analysis, database maintenance on various systems used for equipment tracking
  • General Ledger Maintenance

Job Cost Analysis:

  • Equipment - process equipment usage, perform data analysis and prepare monthly reports for management and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Labor/Materials/ Others - perform analysis as issues arise.
  • Prepare job cost reports as requested.

Contract Administration:

  • Document Management and Project set-up in the ERP system.
  • Owner Payment Application Process.
  • Subcontractor administration.
  • Joint Venture billing/cost Management.
  • Heavy coordination /communication with project team to accomplish aforementioned tasks.


Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Accounting (Preferred) or Business Administration.
  • Strong fixed asset management knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain procedures.
  • Financial Analysis experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Viewpoint software preferred but not necessary.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge /application.
  • Strong computer skills and ERP skills.
