Responsibilities

Join us in leading the change

Working as a Power Systems Engineer at EPE, you will act as an owner engineer and design engineer on various projects.

How you can make an impact:

  • Aspects of electrical design related to generation, transmission, and distribution, including substations for solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems, their integration into the electrical grid, underground distribution systems, industrial electrical plant applications, and communications technologies.
  • Outlining the initial design concepts for substations and overseeing the review or creation of detailed designs, which cover layouts, elevations, single-line and three-line diagrams, both DC and AC control schematics, wiring connections, cable schedules, and the organization of raceways, such as cable trays, duct banks, and trenches, alongside a comprehensive bill of materials.
  • Crafting technical specifications for key electrical components to meet customer needs and adhere to the most recent and relevant standards.
  • Evaluating proposals, specifications, and drawings from vendors.
  • Making sure to complete assigned projects on time while adhering to project quality and budget objectives.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration.

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what's needed:

  • 4+ years of experience in relevant work.
  • License as a professional engineer is a plus
  • Bachelor of Science or Electrical Engineering with power system emphasis.
