Role Description: Director, Salesforce Engineering

Role Purpose:

Wasabi is looking for a Director of Salesforce Engineering that will lead all of the technical delivery for our business systems. The ideal candidate will lead a globally distributed team of highly skilled Salesforce developers and admins, while also doing hands-on development and code review when needed. We are looking for a leader that not only has Salesforce depth, but also has the broad enterprise architecture experience to design an end-to-end system (including potential custom build) to effectively support the growth of our business.

In addition to being a deeply technical leader, the Director will also have business acumen, including deep knowledge of the lead to cash process for a SaaS / Consumption model business. The leader should be comfortable working in a product management / engineering model with the ability to build a technical roadmap that aligns with business priorities.

This role reports to the VP of IT and Business Systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business systems product managers to understand requirements and deliver optimal technical solutions.
  • Motivate and mentor a high-performance technical team to execute on the technical roadmap.
  • Organize into an agile SDLC with a focus on incremental delivery and high quality software.
  • Establish core KPIs for the team to measure success (e.g. Incidents, cost/transaction, availability, MTTR).
  • Work cross-functionally with team members across the company to align salesforce engineering efforts with other functional priorities.
  • Own the technical roadmap for Wasabi's business systems.
  • Communicate plans and progress to key partners and stakeholders in a timely and effective manner using appropriate written and spoken channels.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience with hands-on Salesforce development, configuration, and support.
  • CPQ plus billing depth required.
  • Experience building scalable and resilient custom-built applications and micro-services.
  • Expert knowledge of various integration methods and solutions including both custom and 3rd party (e.g.Mulesoft).
  • Expertise across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Service Cloud.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce Portals (Community & Partner portals).
  • Deepexpertise in Apex, Controllers, Triggers, Configuration, batch processes,VisualForce,Lightning, SOQL, Process Builder, Flows, REST APIs and web services.
  • Understands Salesforce security and administration best practices.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC best practices and operating in an agile framework.
  • Depth in CI/CD and devops tooling and best practices with an overall understanding of software change management.
  • Experience supporting different compliance efforts including SOC2, SOX, GDPR, FEDRamp, etc.
  • Depth in business systems QA and testing best practices and automations.
  • Netsuite and Hubspot experience a plus.
