Position Overview:

Are you passionate about sales and building lasting relationships? We're seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our dynamic team at American Wire Group. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving sales of AWG wire and cable products, cultivating markets, and nurturing existing client connections. Your focus will be on identifying new sales opportunities and collaborating with utilities, power generation companies, engineering firms, and contractors across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Commercial (Sales, Marketing):

Develop and close sales opportunities, ensuring access to key decision-makers.

Participate in key project bid processes and Utility Master Material Agreement RFQ events.

Maintain strong relationships with customers, utilizing our CRM system.

Travel throughout the region for customer meetings and facilitate discussions between clients and AWG management.

Deliver engaging sales and training presentations to customers.

Technical:

Provide technical information to customers for AWG vendor approval.

Attend pre-bid meetings and visit job sites when necessary.

Initiate the Non-Conformance process to address product complaints promptly.

Business:

Understand contract language and provide market intelligence on competition and pricing.

Contribute to the development of the Utility Sales Plan.

Manage expenses responsibly and stay aligned with AWG goals.

Master the use of AWG's Microsoft D365 business application for quoting and sales orders.

Utilize Microsoft Office software for reporting and presentations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred.
3+ years of combined sales, business development, or marketing experience in the cable industry or electrical engineering field.

Experience selling to electrical utilities is advantageous.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Office applications and Microsoft D365.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

A good listener and self-starter.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work at a desk for prolonged periods and use a computer.

Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.

Approximately 50% travel within the assigned territory.

Compensation:
