Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will lead contracting activities for Amgens Managed Care Organization (MCO) customers. The Senior Manager will serve as the Payer Contracting point of contact for both internal and external partners for one of Amgens top national MCO customers. This role reports to a Director of Payer Contracting.

The Senior Manager will be an instrumental member of the customer team responsible for coordinating Amgens customers and will be key in identifying and implementing contract strategies to ensure Amgens business needs are met. This role is integral in communicating account information to facilitate pricing and contracting decision-making by senior leadership. This individual will be the primary contract owner for the MCO client responsibilities and will assist in review of product pricing and contracting requests with internal executive committees. Additionally, this individual will partner with cross-functional teams to support product-specific pricing strategies, contract performance, and contract execution needs. This role is remote, but will require some working hours during U.S. Pacific time zone.Responsibilities:

Manage the contract development process in conjunction with Amgens Market Access account executive, Law, Coverage & Pricing, and other customers.Create term sheets and complete request for proposals (RFPs) as needed to provide pricing offers to MCO customers.Act as business owner of the contract between Amgen and its customer, specifically owning the contracting strategy and execution of one of the Big 3 (Mega) managed care PBM/GPO customers.Implement MCO pricing and contracting strategies in alignment with brand/business approach.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of key MCO customers financials, growth drivers, membership, mergers/acquisitions, end customers, etc.Support post-deal contract operations team including contracting interpretation for payment processing, dispute resolution, formulary validation, and other activities as needed.Support ad-hoc requests by senior leadership for product and/or customer related business analytics and strategy.Win What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek possesses these qualifications.Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 2 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experienceOr Masters degree and 4 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experienceOr Bachelors degree and 6 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experienceOr Associates degree and 10 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experienceOr High school diploma / GED and 12 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experiencePreferred Qualifications: Advanced degree preferred (i.e. MBA or equivalent experience)6+ years of experience solving complex business problems and managing multiple projects concurrently.Ability to read and understand complex legal contract documents.Pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales and marketing experience.Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility and leadership experience.Strong negotiation skills.
