Member Relationship Specialist (HICOMM-14)

A local credit union is seeking a Member Relationship Specialist to serve as the primary liaison between the member and the credit union. In this role, you will assist in all lending activities and provide a variety of transactional services to members of the credit union.

The ideal candidate will have lending experience in some capacity whether it be origination, processing or underwriting; other financial institution customer service and cash handling skills are preferred as well.

This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule and includes great benefits such as health insurance, matching 401(k), employee discounts, and much more.

$41,000 to $59,000 a year

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome members and visitors.
  • Provide prompt and efficient service when processing transactions.
  • Provide account information and service-related information to members in person and over the phone.
  • Respond to member's requests, problems, and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Receive and respond to all loan inquiries regarding rates, terms, requirements and other loan features.
  • Open new accounts and service existing accounts.
  • Promote credit union products and services as appropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge on all credit union products and services.
  • Address account discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Business school graduate with 1 year of related work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality.
  • Motivated, trustworthy, hardworking.
