This role is with the Cognizant Integration and Process Management Practice within Enterprise Platform Services Team (IPM-EPS). Job Description: Principal Engineer uniquely skilled in both building and architecting. Lead the charge in automating key touchpoints, crafting seamless and personalized experiences for every customer. Dive into the code, writing clean, maintainable, and scalable software that delivers robust automation and exceptional functionality. While each team member has a primary skill set, they are also expected to learn and contribute to areas outside of their primary skill set. The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication. You will be expected to be a well-regarded and respected individual contributor; possess strong inter-personal skills. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

o Possesses 10+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or principal role.
o Has a proven track record of delivering high-quality, production-ready code, focusing on full automation and best-in-class testing principles.
o Excels in front-end, back-end, and cloud-based development, proficient in technologies like Java, Python, , React, AWS, or similar.
o Demonstrates a deep understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
o Possesses extensive experience with leading testing frameworks and practices, achieving high code coverage.
o Is a passionate advocate for automation, constantly seeking opportunities to streamline processes.
o Thrives in a collaborative environment, mentoring and fostering the growth of others.
o Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $135,000 to $145,600 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
