Description

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Network Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: Provides technical support and monitors operations of network and security infrastructure. Interprets monitoring console messages, alerts, and actions. Undertakes network problem isolation and initiates corrective action. Implements and approves network bypass, recovery, and backup procedures. Performs proactive investigations and resolves event related triggers within the network environment. Performs operation and maintenance support for network testing. Supports network infrastructure implementation, operation, and testing of WAN, LAN, Wireless, and VPN networks. Performs installations and configurations of Cisco, Arista, and F5 data center network infrastructures on Layers 2 and 3. Provides 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis. Utilizes monitoring tools, including Omnicenter, Netbrain, Smartsite, ClearPass, Splunk, Forcepoint, Algosec and SNOW to maintain and track the health of the network environment. Monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots issues with vendor supported products, including Aruba Mobility Master, Aruba Airwave Arista Cloud Vision, and Palo Alto Panorama. Manages SDWAN environments through Velocloud.

Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field followed by five (5) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Performing operation and maintenance support for CISCO routers, switches and firewalls, F5 loadbalancers, including maintaining and troubleshooting of network related issues that may arise across the network in the legacy platform, AWS, Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), and Elastic Load Balancers (ELB); Configuring CISCO Routers, Switches, WLCs and ASA and FIREPOWER Firewalls and performing upgrades to the latest code for IOS, FX-OS, and Firmware; Conducting design and test failover scenarios connected to multiple ISPs using HSRP, and IP SLA; Writing shell scripts to create automation peering down alerts for any BGP failures across all edge devices in the footprint; Utilizing Ansible to automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, application deployment and intra-service orchestration; Creating scripts to perform graceful failovers for BGP routing across various providers; Configuring network devices in the network environment to combat vulnerabilities; Utilizing cloudwatch to monitor logs and metrics while troubleshooting AWS application issues; Configuring GitHub using Jenkins and scheduling jobs using Poll SCM and Web hooks; and Utilizing JIRA to track bugs and manage products.
