Job Summary and Qualifications

Lab Technical Coordinator

The Technical Coordinator will coordinate the activities of technical and/or non-technical functions of the department on assigned shifts under the supervision of the department supervisor, manager, or director. Functional areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.

What you will do in this role:

  • Your role performs technical and non-technical duties in assigned areas of responsibility as required.
  • Key duties for your role include, but are not limited to coordination of quality control, scheduled equipment maintenance, personnel training, regulatory inspection preparation, and scheduling.
  • Your role supports the department Manager/Director in achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities.

What qualifications you will need:

  • 2yr/Associates Degree, Science or equivalent
  • 4yr/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology Preferred
  • 3-5 yrs experience as a Medical Technologist required

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250+ bed facility. We are Tennessees first comprehensive stroke center and a national leader in neuroscience. In addition, we are equipped with 3 helipads, new ICU and Medical/Surgical floors, and burn care services. We offer a CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation program and are an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center.
